Teasing Test Shots of the New Triumph Tiger

Lighter, agile, transformed—this is some of the wording used to describe the new Triumph Tiger 1200, now in prototype testing. Many ADV bikes have been updated for 2021 like BMW’s 1250 GS, KTM’s 1290 Super Adventure S, Ducati’s Multistrada V4, and of course, Harley’s PanAmerica. Triumph’s Tiger hasn’t come out with an update model for almost ten years, so it’s long past time to put it in ranking with the others.

2022 Triumph Tiger

Lovers of past-generation Tigers rave about its tech features, power, and how comfortable the bike is for sitting and riding. Will the 2022 updated model maintain these comforts and other well-loved aspects, or will something be stripped making it less desirable for Tiger fans? What additional bells and whistles will make this ride even better, and what could they have left out?

2022 Triumph Tiger

We’re not getting more than a tease from Triumph at this time, but until the big reveal, here is an uber-short YouTube clip and a quick blurb about the 2022 Triumph Tiger coming…soon?

Unedited Press Release from Triumph

The all-new Tiger 1200 has now reached its exciting final stages of testing.

The word “transformation” simply doesn’t do it justice. Designed to deliver the new ultimate large-capacity adventure ride, the incredible Tiger 1200 will bring every advantage in one all-new motorcycle family. Now significantly lighter than its closest competition, with an astonishing transformation in weight, the new 1200 will combine the triple-powered engine advantage with a new dimension in class-leading agility, control, and handling.
