Land Cruiser 200 Series

This year, I’ve focused on experiences above all else, and I can honestly say I’m happier for it. Sudden engine failure meant saying goodbye to my fully equipped rolling home and hitting the road in my beat-up 1992 Mitsubishi Delica L300 with little more than a bed platform and a battery system. However, what the latter lacks in comfort, it makes up in reliability, and that has given me the confidence to commit to more adventures here in northern Norway. As a Vanagon Syncro owner, you become numb to constant issues and setbacks, but owning a reliable vehicle has reminded me that experiences will always be infinitely more meaningful than the rig and gear. With this in mind, the Toyota Land Cruiser is the ultimate tool for reaching your destination, and the 200 Series allows you to do so in climate-controlled luxury. It’s a vehicle that has been over-engineered from the ground up to endure daily punishment whatever the terrain or climate, and is more akin to a commercial truck or military vehicle than a family hauler (although it’s also ideal as the latter). Cue today’s 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser (172,000 miles), which has been meticulously serviced and showcases a plethora of premium upgrades. If you’d like a better idea of how this vehicle can be modified for travel, check out inspiring builds from Equipt, Nomad Outfitters, and DTO Customs.

From the Seller:

The original sticker and stack of all maintenance records are included. I’ve added 12,000 mostly highway miles during my ownership, and took two desert trips during which the upgraded suspension proved to be a big improvement in ride quality over unmaintained dirt trails. This is a second vehicle, which I mildly upgraded, and was intending to keep for desert camping and road trips, but life has changed and it mostly sits covered on my driveway (exercised weekly). Shortly after purchasing, I began improving this Land Cruiser with tasteful, reversible modifications that would enhance its use as a reliable, highly capable, and comfortable family camping platform.”
