When you think of exploring the misty hills and lush valleys of Norway, I’d be willing to wager that a Land Rover Defender comes to mind. It certainly did for me, but this group of friends did things a little differently. They chose to make the trip in two Jeep XJs, equipped with diesel motors and roof-top tents. Their video of the trip is by no means a high-budget production loaded with drone footage and cinematic effects, but rather a down-to-earth film that lets you experience the beauty of the country and the warmth of their friendship. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Chris Cordes
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Chris didn’t receive a real taste of the outdoors until moving to Prescott, Arizona, in 2009. While working on his business degree, he learned to fly and spent his weekends exploring the Arizona desert and high country. It was there that he fell in love with backcountry travel and four-wheel drive vehicles, eventually leading him to Overland Journal and Expedition Portal. After several years of honing his skills in writing, photography, and off-road driving, Chris now works for the company full time as Expedition Portal's Senior Editor while living full-time on the road.
