In this week’s video, we join Scott in Utah for a test drive of the 2022 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X. This is a notable Nissan model with a longstanding presence and popularity around the world as the Navara. Despite the fact that the 2022 Frontier is basically a new vehicle (aside from its frame), we have high hopes that it will live up to Nissan’s legacy of reliability which has been well-documented in North America and beyond.
As far as the details are concerned, the 2022 Frontier gets a 310 horsepower v6 engine with 281 pound-feet of torque. This powerplant is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission that has hill start assist as well as hill descent control. The low-end crawl ratio is an impressive 54:1. The interior has been reimagined with excellent noise isolation, vibration-dampening, high-quality finish materials, and technology close at hand (capacitive charging, Apple CarPlay, 9-inch infotainment display). For more details and Scott’s driving impressions of this exciting new truck, watch the full video below.
