The Goliath G-47 is a Stylish and Robust Off-Road Camper

Australian off-road campers are generally highly regarded for their tough-as-nails construction and practicality, which they have earned from experience in the challenging conditions of the Outback. Goliath Campers, based in Queensland, Australia, is recognized for its high-quality off-road campers; the G-47, part of their G-Series, is a prime example of their craftsmanship, blending durability, functionality, and comfort, perfect for adventurous explorers.

The G-47’s compact teardrop design is 15.4 feet long, 6.9 feet wide, and 6.7 feet high. This size is ideal for towing and provides ample interior space. The camper’s sturdy frame weighs 2,535 pounds and features a Cruisemaster air ride suspension system, 33-inch off-road tires, twin shock absorbers, and a generous 23.6-inch ground clearance. These elements ensure a smooth ride on rough terrain.

The G-47’s self-sufficiency is a key feature, perfect for those who relish extended off-grid adventures. The camper boasts a 44.9-gallon water tank and a 2.6-gallon diesel hot water system, ideal for prolonged wilderness stays. Power is supplied by dual 150 amp-hour gel batteries, totaling 300 amp-hours, managed through the advanced Redvision TVMS System from Redarc. This system not only monitors power usage but also allows users to control various camper functions via a mobile app, offering a modern solution to traditional camping challenges.

Inside, the G-47 is a sanctuary of comfort and style. The interior, lined with faux leather, exudes luxury. It features an automatic temperature-controlled roof fan and a Sirocco fan for excellent ventilation. The camper also boasts a unique star-gazing hatch, adding a touch of romance and adventure to the camping experience. The customizable mood lighting system allows users to set the perfect ambiance, enhancing the overall comfort and style of the camper.

The G-47’s kitchen is another standout feature, designed for convenience and practicality. It includes a large 63 x 24-inch bench top and a 19.7 x 15.7-inch swing-out serving table, providing ample space for meal preparation. The kitchen also comes equipped with a 17.2-gallon fridge freezer, a dual-burner stove, and a sink, enabling users to prepare meals comfortably even in remote locations.

The exterior of the G-47 is constructed using 1.18-inch GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), offering durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions. This material choice reflects Goliath Campers’ commitment to building long-lasting products. The camper also includes practical features like a 5.9-inch rainfall shower attachment, ensuring that even in the most remote areas, users can enjoy the comforts of a hot shower.

From our perspective, the Goliath G-47 is a well-rounded off-road camper that offers a blend of robust construction, advanced technology, and thoughtful design features. It caters to modern adventurers who seek the freedom to explore less-traveled paths without sacrificing comfort.

The Goliath G-47 is priced from approximately $47,000 USD, but is not yet available in North America.
