Let’s say you want to travel with a dirt bike, don’t like the idea of a rooftop tent on the tow vehicle, have to carry a significant amount of gear, and need to sleep up to four people. Your options, until now, have been quite slim. What sets the GO All-Terrain (GOAT, get it?) trailer apart is that it is manufactured with a telescoping roof that must be lifted for the tent and beds to be deployed. The trailer can also safely be towed with the roof in the raised position, allowing for the transportation of large gear such as a dirt bike or two.
SylvanSport, headquartered in Brevard, North Carolina, is best known for its adventure travel trailers, pop-up campers, rooftop tents, and outdoor gear. The versatile GO All-Terrain off-road camping trailer combines lightweight design with utility, spacious accommodations, and rugged durability, the molded plastic being constructed of the same material used for white water kayaks. The two side beds can be extended by using the drop-down table deck to create a king-size bed, large enough for a small family and two pets. An external awning allows for outdoor cooking and relaxing, and the nose storage box has enough space to cart most essential camping gear. An integrated rear step and optional rear tailgate allow for easy access and egress to the trailer and assist in the storage of gear. The tailgate is most likely a wise investment should you plan to drive muddy and dusty trails, but given the design of the lifting roof tent, a tight dust or moisture seal is near impossible.
The GOAT, weighing just 1,200 pounds, is engineered to tackle any terrain with its low center of gravity, 18 inches of ground clearance, Falken Wildpeak tires, and Timbren axles. Despite its rugged construction, Sylvansport claims that the trailer remains highly maneuverable and can be towed by smaller vehicles, making it accessible to a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts and ideal as a base camp. In addition to its well-designed living quarters, the trailer offers ample hauling capacity, with the ability to carry an additional 950 pounds of gear. Equipped with exterior MOLLE paneling and mounts, the trailer can be customized with various accessories to enhance the outdoor experience.
Brandon Miller, Head Engineer of the GO All-Terrain trailer, describes it as “the ultimate combination of lightweight durability and expansive interior space in a very capable package.” Extensively tested off-road, the GOAT promises exceptional performance in any environment, making it the ideal companion for outdoor adventures.
The GO All-Terrain is available for pre-order on the SylvanSport website. Shipments are expected to begin in early April. Pricing starts at $19,995, with customizable packages available to suit individual preferences and needs.
