Rossmönster has unveiled the Skye 170, a new Class B adventure van designed for off-grid capability and long-term travel comfort. Known for its custom-built overland vehicles, the company is entering the repeat-production market for the first time, making the Skye available for order beginning March 12, 2025. The van will debut at Overland Expo SoCal, scheduled for March 15-16, 2025.

Built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 chassis with couples in mind, the Skye is engineered for durability and all-terrain performance while offering the amenities of a fully equipped mobile home. Its diesel powertrain ensures reliability, while features like a Super Single Conversion, Owl Talon 3500 wheels, running boards, a ladder tire carrier, and side steps enhance off-road capability. A 400-watt solar array, a 1,000 amp-hour lithium battery, and a 3,000-watt inverter provide sustainable off-grid power, while a 35-gallon freshwater tank and a 23-gallon greywater system support extended stays in remote areas.
Inside, the Skye balances functionality with comfort. A queen-size Murphy bed maximizes space, and an optional pop-top tent increases the sleeping capacity to four, though the van only has legal seating for three. A 12-foot Corian countertop provides ample workspace for cooking or remote work. The van also features a hydronic heating system and heated floors for comfort in cold climates. A 150-liter fridge and freezer, a vented shower room, and a Thetford cassette toilet offer additional conveniences for life on the road.

Rossmönster has partnered with Owl Vans to enhance the Skye’s expedition-ready design. Standard features include running boards, a ladder tire carrier, and Owl Talon 3500 wheels. Additional upgrades are available, such as the Owl Pismo Bumper for extra protection or the Owl B2 Pro cargo carrier for increased storage.

In a further expansion of its reach, Rossmönster is teaming up with Happy Daze RV, a leading provider of recreational vehicles. This strategic partnership will make Rossmönster’s adventure trucks and vans more accessible to a wider audience. Happy Daze RV will serve as an official distributor, streamlining the process for adventure seekers looking to embark on their journeys with a Rossmönster-built vehicle.
According to Rossmönster CEO Luke Farny, the Skye is designed for travelers who want the freedom of mobile living without sacrificing comfort or reliability.
“We created the Skye for individuals who want to explore on their own terms while maintaining the comforts they are accustomed to. This van provides peace of mind and capability for those seeking adventure.”
The Skye 170 is priced starting at $249,983 and will be available for order starting March 12, 2025.
