Adrian Abrahams is a South African filmmaker who travels the length and breadth of Southern Africa, documenting wild places and sharing his passion for nature and overlanding with the world via Roam Overlanding, his media company. His Expedition Portal Creator Series, “Reasons to Roam,” celebrates individual overland styles through the eyes of his friends, family, and guests. The series is a personal one, and Adrian hopes it gives viewers the insight and motivation to begin and enjoy their own adventures. When he’s not behind the lens, or behind the wheel, Adrian runs the Roam Workshop, a 4×4 shop in Cape Town, South Africa.

Ashley Giordano’s first foray into overland travel involved a 48,800-kilometer journey from Canada to Argentina with her husband, Richard, in their well-loved but antiquated 1990 Toyota Pickup. Currently cruising along the iconic Silk Road in a 2008 Toyota Tundra, her full-time navigator duties are rewarded with bowls of plov and lagman noodles, hikes in the Tian Shan, and countless cups of fragrant Tashkent tea.
