RealTruck Partners with Bear Grylls and Chip Foose, Builds to Debut at SEMA ’24

RealTruck, a prominent manufacturer of aftermarket products and accessories for trucks, Jeeps, Broncos, and off-road enthusiasts, has announced an integrated partnership with adventurer Bear Grylls and legendary American automotive designer, fabricator, and artist Chip Foose. The collaboration with Bear Grylls marks a key feature of the inaugural season of Grylls’ new television show, “Adventure Garage with Bear Grylls,” set to air globally in 2025. The collaboration with Chip Foose aims to create a custom 2021 Ford F-150, which will be unveiled during a live broadcast at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this November and subsequently auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson event in Scottsdale, Arizona, in January 2025. Proceeds from the auction will benefit The Progeria Research Foundation, an organization focused on finding a cure for the rare genetic disorder.

Working with Bear Grylls, RealTruck customized two trucks—a 2021 Ford F-150 and a 2024 Toyota Tacoma—to be showcased as part of the program, highlighting RealTruck’s capabilities in extreme vehicle customization. SEMA visitors will also have the opportunity to see Bear Grylls in person at the event on Thursday, November 7, when he makes an appearance to unveil the vehicles and discuss their transformation at 11:30 am PST. Later that day, Grylls will participate in a special Q&A session at 2:00 pm PST to share insights about the vehicle builds and his new show.

“Adventure Garage with Bear Grylls” is designed to give viewers an inside look at transforming standard vehicles into rugged, adventure-ready machines capable of tackling the toughest terrains. Each episode will feature Grylls and his team taking on the challenge of modifying a basic vehicle into one suitable for missions that span some of the most extreme environments in the world—whether navigating the scorching deserts of Dubai, negotiating the rugged terrain of the Grand Canyon, or creating a customized vehicle for humanitarian work in Africa. Grylls, known for his survival skills and passion for the outdoors, will guide each transformation from his workshop.

Lee Riser, Vice President of Marketing at RealTruck, stated,

“The Bear Grylls partnership provides a perfect platform to showcase the quality and durability of RealTruck products in a meaningful way. Grylls and his team are like-minded people who share our passion for the great outdoors. To be an integral part of his inaugural show and showcase RealTruck products and brands being put to the test in the wild reinforces our leadership position as a global aftermarket product and accessory brand.”

The showcase vehicles, built by the Superlift Suspension team in West Monroe, Louisiana, feature an array of customized adventure components from RealTruck’s selection of off-road accessories. The 2021 Ford F-150 is equipped with Husky Liners rocker guard, Bushwacker Pocket Style fender flares, Go Rhino Element front bumper, and other modifications designed to enhance its ruggedness. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma, on the other hand, includes GoRhino XVenture Gear tool rolls, RealTruck Sport bar, and Husky Liners weather beaters, among other enhancements.

Chip Foose, known for his television series “Overhaulin” and celebrated for his artistic approach to car customization, is spearheading the 2021 Ford F-150 build at his Foose Design Headquarters in Huntington Beach, California. The custom F-150 is expected to blend innovative design with the rugged lifestyle promoted by RealTruck, showcasing both Foose’s signature creativity and RealTruck’s high-quality products. The goal is not only to push the boundaries of automotive design but also to support a cause that is close to Foose’s heart (his sister tragically passed away from the disease at the age of 16).

Lee Riser, Vice President of Marketing at RealTruck Inc, said,

“It’s been an exciting time working with the automotive mastermind over the last month on this unique build that will bring his vision and automotive design to life in this highly anticipated collaboration. Over the years, Foose has made automotive dreams come true, and we’re looking forward to being a part of his legacy and giving back to a foundation committed to finding a cure for a devastating disease affecting young patients.”

The custom truck will feature a selection of premium RealTruck components, including a RealTruck Traction recovery winch, a Rugged Ridge traction recovery kit, Go Rhino front and rear bumpers, and Husky Liners RVL fender flares.

The official unveiling of the truck will take place during the SEMA Show on Tuesday, November 5, from 11:30 to 11:50 am PST at RealTruck’s booth (#50027). Following its display at SEMA, the truck will be featured as one of the key charity auctions during the Barrett-Jackson event in Scottsdale. The auction, known for attracting high-profile bidders and automotive enthusiasts, provides a fitting platform for showcasing this unique build while raising funds for a significant cause.
