Melanie Rohr
Melanie Rohr is the Executive Director of TerraByte.org as well as Chief of Staff for the prior Product and SaaS Security Group, within Cisco’s Security and Trust Organization. She has a passion for working in the domains of privacy and AI, with respect to human rights, secure development, and education. Prior to her work in corporate and industry cyber with NATO, SaaS CISO, the public sector, and telecom partners, she held multiple roles within Cisco’s Corporate Social Responsibility organization. She worked to empower global capacity development in technology, as well as expand public benefit investment initiatives partnering with the World Economic Forum, World Bank, the United Nations, USAID, local NGOs, and the governments of Brazil and South Africa.
Melanie is a solo parent, avid world traveler, and philanthropist. She has overlanded on six continents and shared many a beloved 16-hour road trip with her son. Melanie hikes, treks, backpacks, camps, climbs, dives, and explores ancient and medieval ruins as an armchair archeologist in an ever-expanding list of countries. She can be found chatting at a local taco stand or singing away in some vehicle somewhere in North America with her son and their silver Labrador.

His travels by 4WD and adventure motorcycle span all seven continents and includes three circumnavigations of the globe.
