Overland Classifieds :: Mercedes Benz 310 4×4 Camper

Occasionally a unicorn is posted to our forum, and today’s immaculate Mercedes Benz 310 4×4 is just about as mythical as it gets. This stunning example was originally imported from the Austrian Alps, where it was used by the fire service. As a result, it has been meticulously maintained and has covered just 15,000 miles, which I’m sure makes it one of the lowest mileage 310 4x4s in existence. If that wasn’t enough, this vehicle has been professionally transformed into one of the nicest and most carefully considered overland builds I’ve ever seen. It features a stunning camper interior, high top roof with pop-top, rear drop-down balcony, shower, and toilet, yet is still compact and easy to drive.

I’ve always loved the 310 4×4, but it was following the adventures of ins.nirgendwo overlanding Africa in their expedition-ready example that fuelled my obsession. They demonstrated that this rig was not just a pretty face but was a hugely reliable and capable go-anywhere platform that could conquer the toughest terrain and conditions. Honestly, this overland camper is as close to perfect as I’ve seen and is worth every penny of the $100,000 asking price. I’m in love.

From the Seller:

We’re selling our custom expedition vehicle, perfect for off-grid camping and exploring remote places. It will be for sale in August 2022. Currently in Panama, the van could be shipped to the US or elsewhere, or driven anywhere between Panama and Mexico. The car is still in perfect condition. It used to be a firefighter truck in the Austrian alps with perfect maintenance. We are the first owners after the fire brigade and bought it at 7,000 kilometers looking like new.”
