Overland Classifieds :: 2020 Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition

The Gladiator is a very popular option for overland travel, with recent examples on our forum including this 2020 Sport S with a Super Pacific camper, a 2020 Rubicon, and a 2022 with a Go Fast Campers V2. The Gladiator, much like the Land Rover Defender 130 or Toyota Troopy, provides all the benefits of a 4WD but with a longer wheelbase and additional payload. The upshot of this configuration is that it offers enough capacity for a lightweight camper while still enjoying excellent backcountry capability and comfortable seating for five adults (alternatively, the rear seats can be replaced with additional storage from the likes of Goose Gear). If you’d like to know more about the Gladiator’s wide-ranging benefits, listen to Building the Jeep Gladiator for Overlanding on the Overland Journal Podcast. The versatility of this platform, combined with excellent aftermarket support, ensures there’s no shortage of inspiring and unique builds, as demonstrated by Next RV, Mr & Mrs Overlander, and Forged 4×4. Today’s 2020 Launch Edition has covered just 31,000 miles and features the desirable Hemi SRT motor and premium aftermarket modifications.

From the Seller:

A 2020 Gladiator Launch Edition is basically a fully loaded Rubicon but with every option included. Jeep built only 4,190 units in honor of Jeep’s Toledo, Ohio factory (area code 419) and as part of the roll-out marketing plan for the launch of Gladiators (which sold out completely on day one). The original intent for this build was to travel the Trans-America and Pan-American overland routes, then expand over to Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. A change in life’s plan requires selling this family favorite. The rig’s customization has roughly $85,000 invested in upgrades and parts alone. It is fully customized for overlanding and off-grid use and has significant rock-crawling capability but has been used gently during its build process and is in superb condition.”
