Overland Classifieds :: 2018 International 7300 4WD Expedition Truck

Editor’s note: This vehicle was sold while I was formatting this article.

If your family road trips were anything like mine, you were probably crammed into the back seat of a tiny car, a stack of pillows designating your personal space from your sibling’s, with minimal legroom amongst a plethora of reading materials, Five Alive juice boxes, and coloring books. On the flip side, the Swain Family (two adults and two teenagers) just completed a 27,000-mile trip through 32 states in this 2018 International 7300 4WD Expedition Truck and did so in comfort, style, and spaciousness.

Accessed via a flexible pass-through, the four-season living unit is well-thought-out with space for an induction cooktop, custom bamboo cabinetry, and two 78-liter ARB fridge freezer units. With full-time living in mind, the build includes ample water capacity, battery power, solar and electrical components, and storage space to keep a family of four comfortable while also enjoying extended off-grid adventures. Hovering around the cost of a brand-new RV, this International 7300 offers something significantly more unique and off-pavement capable.

From Tim:

“When we set out for full-time travel, the four of us brought everything we could want for all four seasons: four e-bikes, two paddleboards, a two-person kayak, wet suits, winter gear, backpacks, tents, lawn chairs. If you want to bring everything, this rig has you covered.

The rig is based on a commercially available International 7300 SFA 4WD that keeps up with the other trucks on the highway and holds its own on the backroads. It has been a great truck with parts, tires, and service readily available. The vehicle itself is registered as a motorhome and is straightforward to operate. We loved everything about it, but our children want to complete high school in person, so we are selling in order to make that happen. This rig is now available and ready for your next adventure.”

On the zig-zag route south, she hiked craggy peaks in the Andes, discovered diverse cultures in 15 different countries, and filled her tummy with spicy ceviche, Baja fish tacos, and Argentinian Malbec.
