Overland Classifieds :: 2018 Ford F150 XLT 4X4 with 2020 FWC Hawk Flatbed

Here’e yet another super clean truck and flatbed camper combo for sale in the Expedition Portal forum classifieds section. This rig features a 2020 Four Wheel Campers Hawk paired with a 2018 Ford F150 XLT 4X4.

With every flatbed camper setup that I see, I feel more and more confident that this configuration would be my personal preference for overland travel. Living space is somewhat limited, but there is still a high level of comfort, with standing room for meal preparation, and a reasonable sized sleeping arrangement. Then there’s the vehicle’s performance, which is more capable than most campervans in off-highway terrain, and easier to approach than trailering when covering long stretches of pavement. And unlike a trailer, setup and breakdown of a truck camper is quicker, making it more reasonable to move campsites with ease.

In addition to being visually immaculate, this F150 has had regular 5,000-mile full-synthetic oil changes and a recent full 4×4 fluid flush done by Ford (trans, diffs, transfer case). This truck also carries an extended factory warranty with coverage through February 2024 or 95,000-miles.

From the Seller:

“This was a well planned and executed build. The Hawk FB camper has custom interior touches and all the right options for a couple or small family looking to explore and camp in comfort and style. The truck is very capable with a 400hp 5.0 v8, 10 speed transmission, shorter wheelbase (145″) ext. cab, 3.73 gears, 4×4 low, electronic locking rear diff, and aftermarket suspension. This rig is shorter with a lower roofline and more off-road capable than most vans, while offering the versatility of a flatbed truck when the camper is removed. Due to relocation and a new career it’s time for us to sell.”
