Originally designed as a military vehicle, the G Wagon, short for Geländewagen (need some G Wagon history? read this article), was brought to the civilian market in 1979. The G features body-on-frame construction, three locking differentials, and contemporary models have luxurious interiors featuring leather, wood, and carbon fiber.
