Overland Classifieds :: 2012 Land Rover Defender TD4 with Globe Camper

There’s no such thing as the perfect overland rig, and one of the biggest challenges is balancing size and comfort with all-terrain capability. A seasoned overlander once told me that huge expedition trucks offer “the realities of comfort, but little else” and that ideally, you want a capable 4WD rig that is as light and compact as possible. However, if you go too small, living comfort suffers, especially in cold or wet climates, where sitting outside is not an option. Thus, you need to find a happy middle ground, and this is often achieved by mounting a lightweight habitation pod/camper to a truck or 4WD. We’ve shared a number of these rigs, including this 1994 Defender w/ Globe Camper and a 130 Expedition Camper. Today’s 2012 TD4 offering is the most impressive to date, showcasing an XL Globe Camper, premium aftermarket modifications, and several desirable options from the factory.

From the Seller:

Defender 130 TD4 (2.4-liter diesel) from 2012 ‘Model S’ with Winter Pack, air conditioning, and electric windows. The vehicle is currently too modern to import to the USA or Canada, so we hope to sell the Land Rover to another European who wishes to road trip America.”
