Overland Classifieds :: 2012 Ford F-350 w/ FWC Grandby Flatbed – SOLD

Full-size trucks have never been so popular with overlanders, with many embracing the additional running costs in exchange for increased payload, towing capacity, space, power, and, in some cases, improved capability (check out “Full-Size Revolution by Scott Brady for more information). It’s becoming more difficult to justify a smaller truck, especially when you consider that the fuel efficiency of some of the latest full-size offerings doesn’t fall very short of their mid-size counterparts. The issue with mid-size trucks, and other vehicles with limited payload, is that weight adds up quickly and will be detrimental on many levels. A full-size option can still be stripped down and utilized as a lighter Aussie-style rig with outside cooking, minimalist canopy, and a rooftop tent, but has the added benefit of also being suitable for a fully equipped four-season camper. In other words, it offers the best of both worlds, while providing a better-equipped and more spacious cab for long days behind the wheel. Today’s F-350 is a great option thanks to its relatively frugal 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel, premium modifications, Lariat trim, and a fully-equipped Four Wheel Campers (FWC) Grandby flatbed camper.

From the Seller:

“This has been a great rig for us, but the sad truth is we’ve been getting too busy now with school and all the other activities [our children are] involved in. Regrettably, it just doesn’t get the use anymore that we built it for. We’ve had some really awesome times at the beach, mountains, and desert in this thing and will be sad to see it go. We are hoping this rig finds a new loving home and gets the use it deserves.”

2012 Ford F-350

The F-350 is powered by a 6.7-liter turbo-diesel V8 that produces 400 horsepower and a colossal 800 pound-feet of torque. Inside, this example benefits from the Lariat trim with plenty of driver comforts that include:

  • Keyless entry
  • Premium 9-speaker audio
  • SYNC voice-activated infotainment system with navigation
