Jeep Europe Celebrates 1 Million Renegade and Compass Units Sold With North Star Special Edition

The Jeep brand is celebrating a significant milestone in Europe with the release of the North Star special edition for its Renegade and Compass models. This commemorative edition marks the sale of one million units of the two models across Europe by the end of 2024. The North Star edition integrates Jeep’s adventurous spirit with hybrid powertrain technology; orders are set to open soon.

Positioned between the Altitude trim, known for practicality, and the premium Summit trim, the North Star stands out with its distinct blend of sophistication and adventure-readiness. The special edition focuses on enhancing both style and resilience, appealing to drivers seeking a balance of high-end features and everyday practicality.

Eric Laforge, Head of the Jeep brand in Enlarged Europe, reflected on the importance of the Renegade and Compass models:

“Jeep Renegade and Compass are essential pillars of the brand’s global success, especially in Europe, where they have elevated it to new heights. Reaching together the milestone of one million units sold in Europe, these two models are strong contributors to the Jeep brand’s presence in the region conquering hundreds of thousands of new “jeepers” over the last years”.

Emphasizing sustainability, the North Star edition is available exclusively with hybrid powertrain options as Jeep continues its shift towards greener alternatives. Customers can choose between the Hybrid 48V-volt and the 4xe variants, aligning with the company’s commitment to eco-friendly solutions. This focus on hybrid technology not only reflects the brand’s dedication to reducing environmental impact but also underscores its forward-thinking approach to automotive design and technology.

The North Star edition pays homage to Jeep’s core values by retaining the essential elements that define the Renegade and Compass. Jeep’s design signature remains evident in the North Star trim. It features a two-tone color scheme that emphasizes its rugged aesthetic, including a dedicated Technogreen metallic shade that pairs with black accents across the exterior and interior. The bold exterior design is complemented by alloy wheels with summer tires, available in 18 inches on the Compass and 17 inches on the Renegade, adding to the visual appeal and functionality. The dedicated hood decal reduces sun glare, providing practical benefits while enhancing the vehicle’s distinct look.

The North Star edition includes a standard dual-pane sunroof finished in black to contrast with the Technogreen body color. Black roof rails add cargo versatility, and LED fog lamps ensure visibility in adverse weather conditions. Privacy glass and unique North Star badges distinguish the special edition, while parking sensors and Jeep’s advanced park-assist technology simplify maneuvering in tight urban spaces.
