Hunter RMV Introduces the Globe Ranger 4×4

Hunter RMV has introduced its latest off-road expedition habitat, the Globe Ranger 4×4, built for adventurers seeking both comfort and capability. The latest Globe Ranger is based on a Chevy Kodiak C5500 crew cab, powered by a 6.6-liter Duramax V-8 diesel engine, producing 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque. With a five-speed Allison automatic transmission, the vehicle offers a range of around 500 miles, making it suitable for extended off-grid journeys. This vehicle is built firmly with a family in mind and can comfortably accommodate six people and all their gear.

The vehicle’s habitat features a four-season composite panel box mounted on a proprietary four-point articulating subframe. The Globe Ranger is equipped with off-road essentials, including Super Singles, winches, and LED lighting. Buyers can further customize the vehicle with options like an outdoor kitchen, e-bike rack, solar panels, and upgraded suspension systems.

Inside, the Globe Ranger offers a fully loaded interior designed for comfort during remote expeditions. It includes a dry bath with a separate shower and even a washer/dryer (yes, please!). The kitchen area features an induction cooktop, stainless steel sink, and ample storage, while a Victron solar and power management system supports off-grid capabilities with lithium batteries and solar panels. High-tech amenities, such as a Starlink, Wi-Fi, a TV, and security cameras, ensure connectivity and safety, even in remote locations.

Founder Keith Storey emphasized the Globe Ranger’s versatility and ruggedness, “The Globe Ranger 4×4 is a versatile powerhouse designed for the adventurous spirit.”

Initially, he built the first prototype on a military M939 chassis, which led to the development of more advanced models like the Globe Ranger. Since 2015, Hunter RMV has specialized in building highly customized expedition vehicles, transforming ex-military and all-wheel-drive trucks into capable off-road RVs. They offer both bespoke and prebuilt expedition trucks that blend rugged durability with luxurious comfort, catering to adventurers seeking vehicles capable of handling overland conditions. Their offerings include several models, such as the Apex 6×6 and Predator EXP, which are based on durable truck chassis like the Acela and LMTV, designed for off-road performance and personalization.

Hunter RMV offers the Globe Ranger 4×4 on both new and previously owned crew cab chassis. New models start at $395,000, built on a Chevy C6500 with a DEF system, while previously owned models, like the recently completed build on a Chevy Kodiak C5500, start at $235,000. The latest vehicle sold for $250,000.
