For 2010, Mark and his team at Jeep developed a series of Jeep project vehicles, including our much loved Overland JK. To accompany the JK project, they also modified a 2009 Grand Cherokee WK with the Quadra Drive and Overland packages.
For my trip to the Easter Jeep Safari in 2010, I was provided the Grand Canyon project vehicle for the first few days of my stay, much from the encouragement of Dave from AEV who promised the WK was worth a look. Having owned two ZJ Grands in the past, the WJ and WK did not peak my interest, especially with the launch of the Unlimited Wrangler. However, Dave promised it would be worth a look, and I was handed the keys to drive the Grand Canyon over Kane Creek trail, a moderate Moab route that included water crossings, sand, slick rock and loose climbs.
