It would be safe to say, no other pickup in North America has been so openly embraced by the overlander as the Toyota Tacoma. Our alternative to the Hilux, the Tacoma has proven itself time and again as a star performer on and off road. With its renowned reliability, excellent built quality, and better than average resale values, the Tacoma will remain a fan favorite for years to come.
Realizing the potential of the Tacoma, ARB has produced a number of products for this popular platform with more in development as the newly designed 2016 model arrives. Their 2012 Tacoma recently made a visit to the Overland International offices and we took a minute to review its finer appointments. It is one of the more refined builds we have seen in some time.

The awning and side access windows add greatly to the livability of the truck and put important items like ARB’s recovery kit within easy reach.
The deep drawers are cavernous and accommodate a large volume of gear. The robust fridge slide shoulders the weight of the refrigerator with no binding or resistance. The quality of the drawers and latches is impressive.
The sharp end of the ARB Tacoma is all business. The 9000-pound Warn winch is flanked by ARB’s two LED lights and tucked safely behind the color-matched bull bar.
LED indicators are a nice touch and keep the truck updated.
The newly developed OME suspension with remote reservoirs is an ambitious step forward, one we can’t wait to test in the coming months. More details on this suspension are forthcoming later in the summer.
It’s yet one more impressive vehicle from the accessory experts at ARB. Read more about the products on this truck at: www.arbusa.com
