Antarctica21, a leading adventure travel company that provides fly-and-sail expeditions to the White Continent, is marking its 20th anniversary by offering a free trip to Antarctica to one lucky penguin lover. The celebration aims to promote knowledge and understanding of Antarctica and its penguins.
The contest, which will run from January to March 2023, invites applicants to apply for the role of Antarctica21’s “Chief Flying Penguin Officer.” The winner will be selected randomly from all qualified entries and provided with a free trip to Antarctica during the December 7-14, 2023 Classic Antarctica Air-Cruise. The prize is worth $17,795 and includes round-trip airfare from Punta Arenas, Chile, five nights’ accommodation on the Ocean Nova expedition ship with full board, guided zodiac and shore excursions, and more. The responsibilities of the Chief Flying Penguin Officer include:
- Traveling to Antarctica.
- Attending presentations by polar wildlife experts.
- Exploring the continent to learn about penguins and their habitat.
The winner of this fantastic prize will be selected based on their answers to three questions about penguins, which can be found in the Antarctic Penguin Study Guide, linked for download on the application page.
Antarctica21 operates air-cruise expeditions to the White Continent and was founded in 2003 to provide travelers with a comfortable alternative to the two-day sea voyage across the rough waters of the Drake Passage. The company operates small expedition vessels with a maximum of 76 guests, offering flexibility and access to the Antarctic wilderness.
