Entegra Coach Has Unveiled The 2024 Launch

Entegra Coach has unveiled the 2024 Launch, an addition to its Class B motorhome lineup designed for travelers seeking both luxury and off-road capability. Built with sleeping for two and seating for four, we have to wonder who this van is designed for, not a family, unless the kids sleep outside or in a rooftop tent, so who then? Based on our experience, this van is most likely built for a couple who enjoys traveling with other couples and entertaining nightly. The Launch is built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 all-wheel-drive chassis with a 144-inch wheelbase; the Launch is equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine delivering 211 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. This configuration aims to balance performance and efficiency for various driving conditions.

The exterior of the Launch features black aluminum wheels fitted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, intended to enhance traction across diverse terrains. LED-lit running boards facilitate entry and exit, while front and rear wind deflectors, complemented by a front LED light bar, contribute to both aesthetics and functionality. A double roof rack and movable roof ladder are included to accommodate additional gear, catering to outdoor enthusiasts. Interestingly, though the rear ladder is mounted on the rear door, it is merely stored there and must be relocated to the side of the vehicle to access the roof rack. For outdoor leisure, the Carefree armless patio awning comes equipped with an LED light strip and wind sensor, providing a shaded area adjacent to the vehicle.

Inside, the Launch is designed to maximize space and comfort but seems to achieve more comfort than space; why sleep two but seat four? That space could have been better utilized. The rear garage area includes a power drop-down overhead bunk rated to support up to 750 pounds, allowing for flexible use of space without compromising storage. Fiberglass side pods expand the sleeping area, and under-bed L-track mounts are provided for secure cargo storage. The interior is fitted with Tecnoform European-style cabinetry made in Italy, featuring integrated kitchen pull-outs to optimize storage and workspace. The kitchen area includes a 3-cubic-foot DC refrigerator, a portable induction cooktop that is not permanently mounted, pantry space, and a stainless steel sink. A countertop extension is available to increase preparation space as needed. The all-in-one wet bath takes up a large amount of space in the middle of the vehicle and is equipped with a shower, cassette toilet, removable bamboo shelf, and a retractable clothesline, which is great for wetsuits and daily laundry. The Aqua View Showermiser water management system is installed to promote water conservation during use.

The cockpit is designed with driver comfort and convenience in mind. It features heated, power-swivel driver and passenger seats and a leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel with integrated controls. The 10.25-inch integrated Mercedes-Benz MBUX infotainment center offers GPS navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility. Safety features such as active distance assist, active lane-keeping assist, crosswind assist, hill start assist, brake assist plus, traffic sign assist, and attention assist are incorporated to enhance driver awareness and vehicle control.

The all-weather capable Launch has a 48-volt, 210 amp-hour smart lithium battery system and a 3,500-watt inverter for off-grid capabilities. The roof-mounted 200-watt solar panels maintain battery charge, while a slow-charge solar panel supports the chassis battery. A portable solar plug is also available for additional solar input if required. The 13,500 BTU 48-volt Coleman-Mach 10 air conditioner is installed to maintain interior comfort in varying climates. The 17,000 BTU Timberline Binar 5D hydronic heating system, controlled via an LED touchscreen, provides heating solutions for cooler environments. The inclusion of the Starlink satellite internet system addresses the need for reliable internet connectivity.

Regarding storage and utility, the Launch offers a rear garage space with durable rubber flooring. Recessed under-bed storage bags provide additional organization options for smaller items. The side screen door, equipped with magnetic and zipper closures, allows for ventilation while minimizing the intrusion of insects. The rear screen door features roll-up functionality and blackout capabilities, offering privacy and light control as needed.

With a starting price of $210 000, the Launch is undoubtedly intended for a couple who enjoys good wine.
