Dodge Ram Runner: Looking to cross the Sahara in a few days?

Ram Runner Turn

The Dodge Ram Runner is about the furthest thing possible from an expedition vehicle, so why feature it here? Two simple reasons. 1. It is an extremely fun vehicle. 2. Development vehicles like the Ram Runner are platforms to test future performance improvements to production vehicles. The perfect example of this is the Jeep Rubicon. Aftermarket parts and testing resulted in one of the most capable and effective overland platforms in North America. Race on Sunday, sell on Monday. . .

Billed as the Raptor Fighter, the Chrysler design team focused on an aggressive stance and real-world performance.

I spent the day with part of the design team photographing and testing this vehicle, which is based on the Ram 1500 platform and then heavily modified by Kent Kroeker and his team from KORE

These are the results.
