For many adventurous souls, treehouses conjure memories from our childhoods, when we would climb high above the world of adults into our own private treetop retreats. And even though many of us are no longer children (on the outside at least), that doesn’t mean that the magic and allure of the treetops have been lost.

We have matured, and so, too, has the humble treehouse. This is the Woods Treehouse, an incredible and rentable creation from the professionals at Nelson Treehouse & Supply.

The Woods Treehouse is elevated luxury, an escape from the ground, but with all of the conveniences of a conventional home. It can comfortably accommodate two-four guests, with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. A living room provides a cushy place to relax, with a woodstove and a connected screened-in porch for enjoying the warm summer evenings. The full kitchen and dining area allows visitors to prepare a proper meal and enjoy each others’ company at the end of a long day.

Conveniently located just one hour away from Portland, in Norway, Maine, the Woods treehouse has breweries, coffee shops, and restaurants just five minutes away. And for those of you thinking about booking a visit, there are also lots of outdoor activities to enjoy in the surrounding area including hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, biking, skiing, and ATVing. The treehouse is located on a private tract of land with 150 feet of lakefront access. Both Sunday River and Shawnee ski resorts are also within an hour’s drive of the Woods Treehouse.
