Toyota 4Runner Trail

In a recent article Expedition Portal and Overland Journal Publisher and Chairman Scott Brady celebrated 40 Years of the Toyota 4Runner. He states: “The 4Runner is both honest and capable at the same time, yet somehow achieves a youthful and exciting image with buyers. I believe that most of this comes from the genuine capability of the vehicle. It is not a pretender, but a model you can buy new, leave stock, and drive around the world.” It has been a runaway success and sold more than 3 million units over the past four decades with the 5th gen selling as many units as the 1st, 2nd, and 4th generations combined. Unlike many of its competitors, the 4Runner is not a mall crawler parading as a rugged 4WD but is instead engineered from the ground up to endure the toughest conditions. Underpinned by the ultra-durable Prado 150 chassis (depended on by front-line agencies globally) it boasts an impressive payload of up to 1,700-pounds and from the factory boasts class-leading capability. Cue today’s stunning (101,xxx miles) 2014 Toyota 4Runner Trail, which enjoys several desirable factory options and over $60,000 in aftermarket parts and labor. Despite being one of the most dialed 4Runner’s we’ve showcased, this turnkey expedition vehicle represents impressive value at $39,500 OBO. From the Seller:

“This early 5th gen 4Runner has been meticulously built and cared for. I’ve provided detailed notes listing all of the modifications that have been done with only the best-in-class brands. I don’t need to sell, but not getting out as much as I’d like to. The 4Runner sits in the garage too much and deserves more trail time!”
