2022 Ram 2500 AEV Prospector XL w/ OEV CampX :: Classifieds

Ram Prospector

Here in Europe, a 6.7-liter diesel-powered rig isn’t exactly ideal but that certainly wouldn’t stop me from dropping a deposit on a Prospector tomorrow if it were within my budget. This full-size goliath ignites the child in me who wants to build sick jumps, turn my speakers up to a tinnitus-inducing Spinal Tap 11, and eat a whole tub of Ben and Jerry’s. It’s therefore no surprise that it’s a popular rig on our forum with recent examples including this 2015, a 2016, and a 2021 with a GFC XL camper. AEV (American Expedition Vehicles) have a reputation for excellence when it comes to upfitting vehicles and the Prospector is no exception. This formidable vehicle starts life as a Ram 2500 or 3500 and is then uprated from the ground up with a plethora of premium parts to enhance backcountry performance. If you’d like a better idea of how this rig performs when the tarmac ends then check out the adventures of Offroad Treks and FOTORNR. Today’s Prospector XL has covered less than 6,000-miles and features a long list of premium modifications and is topped with an Overland Expedition Vehicles CampX camper.

From the Seller:

Up for sale is my turn-key adventure rig. With my family expanding and life/work getting busier I just have not had the opportunity to get a lot of use out of the rig. The truck was initially ordered back at the end of 2021. I was very excited when I finally made contact with an AEV dealer out of Arlington Texas who had the vehicle I was looking for in stock. It had to be a mega cab (my previous PXL was a 4th gen regular cab) and also have the night Edition package. The truck itself has been fantastic, we made one trip out to Colorado with a 3-month-old. Unfortunately, that was about it because I thought travelling with newborns/toddlers would be easy before having them.”
