Mitsubishi Delica

If you’re looking for the practicality of a SWB van but the capability of a 4WD, then the Mitsubishi Delica is a great choice. The Delica is built on a modified Pajero/Montero chassis, so it’s quite literally a combination of a van and 4WD. The form factor is undoubtedly one of the most desirable and unique aspects of these vehicles as it will fit in a standard-size parking spot, yet can be outfitted with a full camper interior and pop- or high-top roof. In addition, these vans incorporate fabled Japanese build quality and reliability ensuring they’re a great choice for overlanding. If you’d like a better idea of how this platform can be outfitted for travel, check out Be Old Later’s stunning 1997 Mitsubishi Delica L400. Today’s 1994 offering with 93,516 miles is a rarity, being both a long-wheel-base and a 5-speed manual. In addition, it has been meticulously maintained and showcases tasteful aftermarket upgrades.

From the Seller:

“This Delica is in excellent overall condition and is ready for adventure! The LWB Space Gear with a manual transmission is ‘unicorn’ rare. I’ve only been able to find one other LWB 5-speed example in all of my searches. It’s pretty clean overall with a few scrapes and dings from being 30 years old. It collects a lot of attention whenever you stop for gas or bring it to Cars and Coffee!”
