The Wrangler is overlanding royalty and one of if not the most popular 4WDs on our forum. Recent adventure-ready offerings include this 2013 Rubicon w/ Ursa Minor J30, 2015 Unlimited Rubicon AEV, and 2024 4Xe Rubicon X. It’s one of the few vehicles that out of the box is well appointed for backcountry travel. The Rubicon model comes from the factory with an uprated and lifted suspension, live axles, ultralow 4.0:1 low range, front and rear lockers, and much more. It’s also almost infinitely modifiable, and I’m forever blown away by the many ways owners transform this platform. There’s no shortage of inspiration online with awe-inspiring rigs from Trail Recon, Goldens Gone Wheelin, and the RMBL Off Road. Cue today’s 2007 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (83,000 miles) that showcases a plethora of premium upgrades, a custom interior, and is priced at just $13,500 OBO. If you’d like to learn more about this desirable 4WD, listen to Building the Jeep Wrangler for Overlanding on the Overland Journal podcast or check our Project Vehicle on the Expedition Portal YouTube.
From the Seller:
“I am the second owner and have owned this Rubicon since 2008. It has been garage-kept and has no mechanical issues I know of—only rust is on the gas tank skid plate. The only issue is the 12-volt power outlet isn’t working. Sometimes, it takes a minute for the stock stereo to come on. The soft top is on the Jeep, but I also have the hard one that needs some TLC.”
