Ford F-350 4WD XL w/ Total Composites Camper :: Classifieds

Ford F-350 camper

The F-350 is a popular full-size truck on our forum and is the platform of choice for many expedition builds, such as this stunning 2021 Nimbl Evolution. Key highlights include a dependable Power Stroke diesel motor, generous payload and towing capacity, a well-equipped interior, and excellent aftermarket support. Today’s 2022 Ford F-350 4WD XL has covered just 27,000 miles and showcases tasteful modifications and a Total Composites camper. This truck could be enjoyed/lived in as is or would serve as the perfect blank canvas for a comprehensive overland build-out. At $80,000 OBO, it’s competitively priced when you consider that fully outfitted examples sell for considerably more (for example, reference this $145,000 2020 with a Loki Expedition Icarus Basecamp). If you’d like a better understanding of how this vehicle can be configured for remote exploration, then check out the rigs from Tactical Application Vehicles, Ross Robinson, and BDS Suspension

From the Seller:

This is a turnkey rig, everything works like new. It’s light, 990 pounds for the shell with a minimalist build inside; I don’t know the total weight, but it’s well under what the truck can handle. Drives very well, considering the height of the camper due to the sway bar. It returns 15-16 mpg if you keep it under 75 mph. Tires are good in snow, lots of tread with only 27,000 miles on them. I went with the 6-3/4 bed length because it has a shorter wheelbase, which means it has a reasonable turning radius and can still park in a standard space, and isn’t prohibitively large when driving in a city. Total Composites’ shells are very efficient at keeping heat in or out. They’re cool in the summer and warm in the winter. No toilet inside, no smoking or pets, other than a Jetboil I never cooked inside, so no cooking smells.”
