“‘The Bear’ is a 2024 Rustic Trail Kodiak Stealth teardrop, bought new in March 2024 and lived in full-time for a year. Its covered roughly 7,000 towing miles, from Voyageurs National Park and the Ozarks to Sedona, Palm Springs, and the California desert, and has been in covered storage since. Built for places bigger trailers can’t go with 14-inches of ground clearance, stand-on flat fenders, a small footprint, and just 1,420-pounds dry (actually weighed). Painted gunmetal-grey exterior, Dexter axle, electric brakes, full-size spare, roof rack, 2-inch rear receiver, rear stabilizer jacks, and a locking tongue box. Camp comforts: Smittybilt awning, removable exterior table, Joolca Hottap instant hot-water shower, and a MaxxAir fan with rain cover so the vent stays open in a storm. Custom interior: the original dinette is now a permanent bed with a Tuft & Needle mattress cut to size (fits person under 6-foot).
