Arkto Campers Releases the C10 Travel Trailer for North America

Alberta, Canada-based Arkto Campers has announced the release of its latest overland travel trailer, the C10, a compact and lightweight model designed to provide greater towing ease without sacrificing durability, comfort, or off-road capability. As a streamlined alternative to the larger G12, the C10 caters to adventurers seeking a versatile, garage-friendly trailer that is easily towable by smaller SUVs and Jeeps. On paper, the C10 looks like an excellent travel trailer, but the new tariff regime will most likely negatively affect the purchase price for American buyers. If only there was a solution. Road trip, anyone?

At just 7 feet 4 inches in height, the C10 is designed to fit comfortably in standard garages, making it an appealing option for urban-based explorers. Despite its smaller dimensions, the camper accommodates up to three occupants and offers features designed for extended off-grid travel. The C10 is two feet shorter in length and 13 inches narrower than the G12, allowing for easier maneuverability on tight trails. Its overall height is reduced by six inches, yet the inclusion of a clamshell sleeping area maintains an interior height of 6 feet 11 inches for standing room.

Weight is one of the most significant differences between the C10 and its larger counterpart. The C10 has shed 900 pounds compared to the G12, bringing its curb weight down to 2,750 pounds. This reduction means that the C10 can be towed by vehicles with as little as 3,500 pounds of towing capacity, expanding accessibility for those who own smaller tow vehicles. The lighter build improves fuel efficiency and will most likely enhance handling on both highways and rugged backcountry roads.

The trailer includes an outdoor kitchen with a 10-cubic-foot pantry, dual-burner stove, sink with hot and cold water, prep deck, USB, and 110-volt receptacles. Inside, a 113-liter bar-style fridge/freezer provides additional food storage. Despite its size, the C10 offers generous gear storage while preserving a functional and comfortable interior space.

Built for off-road capability, the C10 is equipped with independent suspension, all-terrain tires, and a hot-dipped galvanized steel chassis engineered for durability. For those who seek extended off-grid adventures, the trailer can be outfitted with up to 600 watts of solar power and 640 amp-hours of lithium battery storage, enabling longer journeys without reliance on external power sources.

Aaron Nerenberg, Principal at Arkto Campers, emphasized the accessibility and versatility of the C10,

“By reducing the weight and size of our flagship G12, we’ve created a trailer that’s not only easier to tow but also opens up the world of off-grid adventures to a wider range of vehicles, including smaller SUVs and Jeeps. Yet the C10 retains all the off-road capability and comfort our customers love, making it perfect for those who want the G12 experience without needing a larger tow vehicle. This is about empowering more people to explore farther and more easily, and we believe the C10 will be a game-changer for many adventurers.”

The C10 is set for release in July 2025, with a starting price of $45,000 (USD); pre-orders are currently open.
