The more I search for cabin rentals, the more I find that Cortez, Colorado, has a lot of unique options. Last week I shared this cabin that is located directly adjacent to Canyon of the Ancients National Monument. This week’s destination is similar – a unique cabin surrounded by sandstone rock formations, but this one’s close to Mesa Verde National Park.
The Cliff House is tucked into the red rock canyon country of Southwestern Colorado and is an awesome escape for up to four guests. Its mix of rustic and modern design elements is understated, with just the right amount of space to relax and unwind. A covered porch with seating provides the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail as the sun sets. One additional design element that you are unlikely to see anywhere else: the cabin is constructed directly against a sandstone rock formation, with large portions of the cliff face integrated into the interior of the living spaces.
Heating and air conditioning keep things comfortable, while a wood stove provides a more aesthetic way to warm the cabin up should you need it. The cabin has cell service, wifi/internet, and a desk/workspace.
