1991 Mitsubishi Delica L300 4×4 :: Classifieds – SOLD

Mitsubishi Delica L300

I’ve said it multiple times, but the Mitsubishi Delica L300 4×4 is a fantastic option for overland travel. It’s a unique vehicle that combines the practicality of a SWB van with the ruggedness and capability of a 4WD (built on a modified Pajero chassis). Further still, thanks to its boxy dimensions, it’s big enough inside for a camper conversion yet is shorter in length than a 100-Series Land Cruiser. If you’d like a better idea of how this vehicle can be outfitted for travel, check out builds from Josh Quiroz, Jamie Pleass, and NomadicVanLife. Alternatively, read my in-depth feature piece on the remarkable Slackervan, which showcases specifications more akin to an expedition truck than a compact van. For these reasons and more, it’s a popular choice on our forum, with recent examples including this 1991 Reimo Pop Top Camper, 1993 Chamonix, and 1994. Cue today’s low-mileage 1991 Mitsubishi Delica L300 4×4 (69,000 miles), which incorporates a plethora of tasteful upgrades and is the perfect blank canvas for a full overland build-out.

From the Seller:

“The Super Exceed is the highest trim level with curtains, a factory karaoke machine, a mini hot/cold box, and auto sun shades that cover the four rear skylights! This is as good as Delicas get with low miles, no rust, mechanically great, and in a cool color. It was inspected by a JDM master mechanic who fixed all the issues. Now that Delicas have a cult following and there are many parts suppliers in the US. It also shares many parts with some other Dodge and Mitsubishi vehicles sold in the US. Why pay $150,000 for a Sprinter van that’s too big to use as a daily driver?”
