Overland Classifieds :: 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road

Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road for sale

I was recently listening to an interview with Publisher Scott Brady of the Overland Journal, during which he discussed the Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road: “If built light, the Tacoma offers the perfect balance of capability, reliability, and durability for overlanding.” This perspective is not unique, which is why this mid-size Toyota is the most popular truck on our forum, with recent adventure-ready examples including this 2017 SR5 with an FWC Project M camper, a 2018 TRD Off Road, and a 2020 TRD Pro. The Tacoma, like the Land Cruiser, is a rig you can depend on for remote exploration, and when all is said and done, that’s all that matters. Sure, it’s not the most powerful, capable, or luxurious when compared to some of the alternatives, but when it comes to build quality and reliability, it remains class-leading. The TRD Off-Road variant is the most common choice for adventurous travelers thanks to its plethora of desirable all-terrain features. This rugged model is very impressive when the tarmac ends, as demonstrated by field tests from HotCars and 4R Trail. It’s worth noting that if you’re looking to build a heavier live-in rig, you may want to consider the full-size Tundra. However, that’s not to say that the Tacoma is unsuitable for long-term travel, as illustrated by Badass Brunette and TFL Offroad. Today’s 2020 offering has covered just 24,000 miles and showcases premium modifications.

From the Seller:

This truck performs great in any season; it is a joy to drive and still retains its fuel efficiency. The only reason I’m selling is that the dealer [sold] me into ‘the bigger is better’ scheme, and I ordered a new 2023 Tundra. I’ll be sad to see this truck go, but hope it goes to someone that loves it as much as I do!
