Overland Classifieds :: 2005 Lexus GX470

This Lexus GX470 is a popular choice for overland builds, with recent examples including this $29,000 2006 GX470 and an expedition-ready $30,000 2005 Sport. The GX470 is one of the few vehicles that combines on-road comfort and interior luxury with class-leading all-terrain capability. Subsequently, it’s as comfortable on the school run as it is crawling technical terrain or overlanding remote parts of the world.

Today’s 2005 example is the most impressive to date, showcasing extensive premium modifications built to an extremely high standard by the team at Adventure Motors. At $47,500, this is not an inexpensive vehicle, but it’s competitively priced considering its impressive specifications and the current market. If you’d like to see how the Lexus performs when the tarmac ends, check out this GX470 Built for Overlanding on the Expedition Portal Youtube channel.

From the Seller:

We are selling this on consignment for the owner of MOORE Expo. This was built to his specifications and used as a display vehicle for their Expo and other subsequent Expos. It was purchased from us in January of 2021 as a completely bone stock GX470. Prior to building the rig, we went through the entire mechanics of the vehicle to get it up to 110%. We have also regularly serviced the vehicle, and no expenses were spared. This is a completely turnkey rig.”

2005 Lexus GX470

Inside, the GX470 is well-equipped, with driver comforts that include:
