2020 Ford F-250 w/ Northstar Liberty Camper :: Featured Classified

F Series overlanding

I’m obsessed with overland vehicles; it’s a problem. Fortunately, as part of my role, I spend a significant amount of time on the Expedition Portal forum scratching the itch by checking out the latest rigs posted for sale and speaking with members. In my free time, I spend hours reading build threads, watching overland projects on YouTube, working on my personal vehicles, and meeting up with other overlanders and their rigs. Needless to say, I see the good, the bad, and the ugly, and can tell the difference between a vehicle that’s had expensive parts thrown at it and the builds where every upgrade has been meticulously researched. Interestingly, one of the last exceptional full-size rigs that we featured was this 2022 Ford F-250 Tremor with a Mits Flatbed and Supertramp camper, and it transpires that today’s 2020 Ford F-250 and Northstar Liberty Camper was a big source of inspiration—it’s not hard to see why. Today’s F-250 has to be one of the most dialed we’ve ever showcased and is documented in not one but two Expedition Portal forum builds threads (reference Truck and Camper) and on YouTube. Subsequently, there’s total transparency for prospective buyers with a paper trail and photographic and video records from beginning to end. I encourage anyone reading this to reference the original forum listing to better understand the sheer amount of upgrades (over $19,000 in parts and an estimated $50,000 in labor), which rival that of many half-a-million-dollar expedition trucks. Needless to say, at $95,000, this low-mileage (40,000 miles) package represents impressive value and would make the perfect long-term travel companion or full-time home.

From the Seller:

We are selling ‘Donki’ the noble steed, aka a 2020 Ford F250 Super Duty. Boring. Reliable. Functional. Capable. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. That sums up the truck’s features and upgrades. It just works. Hauling. Towing. Off Road. Completely dialed and ready for travel. We spent an exhorbitant amount of time prepping this package to be truly turnkey. The camper is the perfect pairing for this truck with modifications to function off-grid and off-road. We custom-ordered the camper in 2020 and modified it to function remotely for extended periods. It has many features found in expedition campers for a fraction of the weight and cost and is 4-season ready. Ideally suited for two people. This setup is for the Four Wheel Camper-minded traveler who is looking to extend travel duration, increased all-weather comfort, and to explore further off-road (BDR routes and beyond). All systems are functioning properly. Fly out, add food and clothes, travel.”
