Just took the time and view all pictures, WOW is all I can say. Looked like a killer time. Makes me want to go and see this part of the state.

Getting up the "gate keeper" on Mengal Pass

The tougher section of Mengal Pass, looks easier than actually is. You should have seen Dave's face when he was spotting us. We had about 3" of clearance from the rock wall on the left
IMG_2470.jpg

This spot is very off camber and tilts you into the rock wall. Everyone made it through without issues and with good spotting!

We had a great time and saw so many new places we have not explored before. This is our third trip to Death Valley and we have so many more to come. Thanks again Dave for putting together an awesome route and to all of our friends who made this a remarkable trip. Happy wheeling!!!

What an excellent trip repot and some darn fine pictures to boot! Well done folks...it sure looked like a good time. Posts like this remind me how large and diverse the enviroment is here in the States, and having been mostly here east of the old Miss I find it hard to imagine spending days without tunnelling through the boles and boughs of trees. All that open, empty space might throw off my equilibrium and cause me to go running for a more enclosed space. I hope to find out if that true or not sometime in the future. Again, thanks for sharing your travels.

Great report, the photos sold my wife on doing a similar trip:wings:
Thanks for the heads up about (not) feeding the Burros. I hear when spring hits it's a regular "Burros gone wild" show at the springs:Wow1:
Cheers

Nice pics and trip! We're looking to do this at the end of March. Looks like everyone made it through Mengal/Steel pass which I presume was the most challenging section of the trip?

BTW, any specs/info on the 4Runner.
