The BTU burn and stuff is on their web site under the comparisons.

I read that, it does not says anything about consumption.
I did find a post from a fellow member where He states a 20lb tank will feed this thing for 4 days, and He burns Nights and early AM.
Sounds like a really cool idea.....still weighing my Options but I may buy in....

Thanks for the post!

FROM THE FAQ ON THE WEBSITE

How long will The Gas Can™ operate using a standard 20lb / 5.28 US Gallon LP tank?

Short Answer: Most people vary the height of their campfire flame depending on the weather and the number of people around it. It usually works out that you will get about 10 – 13 hours out of a 20 lb tank.

Long Answer: Good Question! Difficult Answer! Most people vary the height of the flame in their campfire during use. Most campfires will allow you to make the fire smaller but you can't make the fire any larger than the maximum BTUs it was designed to generate. The size of the fire used is usually determined by how many people are sitting around it as well as the outside temperature or a combination of both. There are a lot of variables that go into this answer so you need some information to start with.

Facts: Propane tanks are filled to 80% of their capacity. This allows for an air space, which allows the liquid propane to expand into a gas.

A 20lb propane tank holds 5.28 US gallons of propane.

One US gallon of propane will produce 91,502 BTUs of heat

One pound of propane will produce 24,156 BTUs of heat

Formula to find burn time of a 20lb / 5.28 US gallon propane tank: US Gallon Propane tank capacity Multiplied By Propane BTUs per gallon = total tank BTUs 5.28 gallons X 91,502 BTUs = 483,130 BTUs

Total campfire BTU burn rate divided into total tank BTUs = hours of continuous burn 45,000 BTUs divided into 483,130 BTUs = 10.7 hours.

Pounds Propane tank capacity Multiplied By Propane BTUs per gallon = total tank BTUs 20 pounds X 24,156 BTUs = 483,130 BTUs

Total campfire BTU burn rate divided into total tank BTUs = hours of continuous burn 45,000 BTUs divided into 483,130 BTUs = 10.7 hours

The following are some typical campfire BTU settings that people will use while having an evening campfire. 25,000 BTUs, 35,000 BTUs, 45,000 BTUs, 55,000 BTUs, 65,000 BTUs after taking all the above information and feedback from our customers you can usually expect 10 – 13 hours out of a 20lb / 5.28 gallon tank. *Note: The best course of action to take is to buy a campfire that does not limit how large or small your campfire can be, keep all your options open and enjoy your campfire.

Just ordered!

Thanks for extending the great offer. I just placed my order with Nicole who expressed that she had a few phone calls taking advantage of this great deal.
Going to surprise my wife and I know she will love it. I have a large natural gas fire pit at home and I look forward to having something as enjoyable camping and I can see it being used in MX at a casa we frequent. Thanks again for sharing the good deal.

Order placed

Now I'll just need to decide if I'm going to hang onto my traditional, wood burning Campfire in a Can, or if I'll sell it off.

[EDIT: Nicole mentioned that mine should ship today or tomorrow, and that it should be at my door 3-4 business days after that, so it looks like you should get it quick if that's holding anyone up from ordering.]

This deal is only a fee more days, and with fire bans here, no ash producing fires are allowed, even charcoal. So this is perfect.

Thanks SilverBullet, I just ordered one a few minutes ago using your group buy code. Apparently the warehouse is in Blaine, WA... I live in nearby Seattle so I was told that most likely my order would be delivered today or tomorrow!
