CTapia 05 Tundra 4WD Build Up

How much was the ARB bracket? I was wondering if the Tundra Sahara bar and the LC 100 bull bar mounts could be married into a mounting bracket for the bumper. You could possibly use the part of the LC bracket that attached to the bumper and weld/bolt it to the section of the Tundra mounts that fit the truck. It would all depend on the cost of the two brackets.

The ARB bumper comes with the (2) brackets. Without actually having both bumpers (Sahara and LC100 series) side by side, I don't know if they are interchangable, but from the looks on the pictures listed on the Sahara pdf instructions they do look different. I suppose that anything could be modified/fabbed to make it work. The Sahara bracket part #s are: 3756254L and 3756254R1 (left and right). You would need to call ARB and inquiry on pricing for these parts. Depending on the cost on the Sahara brackets, you may be better off modify the LC100 brackets like I did.

Let me know what find out on the pricing for the Sahara brackets.

Looking a little bit more on the instructions for the Sahara, the brackets actually only mount to the side of the frame rails (on the two threaded holes shown on my pic vs the LC100 bar bolts to the lower frame rails (see my pic again). It may not make sense to have to buy an additional set of brackets if you are going to need to modify them anyway. As stated above, the ARB LC100 bar already comes with brackets, so modifying these may the most cost effective way. my .02 cents.

EDIT: OOppps..Sorry...late info...Thats what I get for replying to the 1st page before realising the thread was 7 pages long..lol

Yeah, I would do the diff drop...Its cheap ($25 from Wheelers), and is about a 20min install. Rear brake line, yeah extended line or bracket...I'll be going with a longer stock line from another Toyota application..Cant afford stainless lines, and dont like brackets...Also need a bracket for LSVP...Easy enough to fab up yourself, or cheap enough if you cant.

It looks like you've decided to go with Icons up front, but if you do change the plan to go with OME, I would go with 886 coils instead of the 885s. 886s are thicker wire, and have a higher spring rate to handle the weight of a bumper and winch. The 885s are basically just a lift spring, with stock spring rate at 590lbs....IIRC, 886s are 700lbs. There are quite a few people running both 885 & 886 springs on 1st Gen Tundies...So there is info and feedback on either out there.

Hey guys, it's been a while.. just doing a quick check in here. I believe I covered all of the mods installed/setup, but if anyone has any questions, let me know. :) Just picked a new 14 LC 200 series. Gonna be while before that gets built up...

Thought some of you with the doublecabs may be interested in this mod. The stock (05) LTD Doublecabs has a lower dash switch/pocket insert that holds two switches. The 05-06 (Or at least 06) Sequoia has different lower dash trim piece that has more cut outs for more switches. The nice thing is that they are both identical is size and therefore pop out old and insert new. This makes it good for adding additional switches for lights, compressor, winch power, etc..

Thanks for posting this! HUGE save - I was looking at the options in our dash for switches and they're everywhere - too dispersed. This will save me some trouble!
