ARB 4x4 accessories is announcing a completely new design Land Rover Defender winch bumper that offers a more modern style but still retains traditional ARB strength and function . Although similar in appearance to a Sahara bar, the winch bumper features no option for fog lights or the alloy center tube.

Unlike 'traditional' Land Rover bars, the new bar incorporates recessed Hi-Lift jacking points and integrated tow points along with upswept stepped wings, giving a more aggressive look. Due to variations that are found in individual vehicles, the mounting system has been redesigned to enable the fitter to position the bar in the best possible position before final assembly.

Features:

:iagree:
The first thought that crossed my mind when I saw the photo was, "oh, a smiley face for a Defender"
Bleh.

Just for the record, if this were a bumper someone built for their own Defender in their drive I'd feel the same way, but just wouldn't say anything.
But since this thread is an advert, I feel honest opinions are ok, even if negative. Manufacturers should be cool with any feedback, good or bad.

Thanks for letting us Know, Terry. It looks like the lower part of most ARB bumpers and allows protection for the corners and winch, I've seen other winch bumpers for series and defenders that look similar. I got an e-mail from ARB and noticed the lower price so I guess your offering an even better deal to those on ExPo so thanks for that as well.

I agree - we look for positive and negative feedback on the products we manufacture for the Land Cruisers here at Iron Pig, and use that feedback to make improvements and fine tune the design to give customers what they want. On other manufacturers products (ARB, Road Armor, Expedition One) we obviously cant change their design, but we do offer their products for those wanting them. I'm sure they are interested in the public's perception of the product so they can make the same adjustments to their product as we would make on ours.

As a dealer we get new product notifications all the time. This is a cut & paste of ARB's notification for this part. I personally prefer the original design myself, but there are bound to be other people looking for something different. We get requests all the time for bumpers without the bull bar or grille guards, some people just cant stand the look and want a beefier replacement for the factory bumper. On all of the manufacturer notifications they list Jobber (wholesale) pricing which is below the Minimum Advertised Price or MAP (ARB's "retail" price) policy. Since we are selling below MAP and Jobber to ExPo members, we cant advertise here to give the other vendors a fair shot at the business. But yes, Wander - we are offering an even better deal on all ARB & OME !

Rockrawler,
is that roof rack pictured on the 110 double cab also a new arb part?

Digging it
There were no additional details on the new product notice on the rack, only the bumper. If you are interested in it I can try and get more details on it later the week when we reopen after the holiday

For anyone who bypassed the original post to see what the latest reply was, here is another new bumper from ARB that looks better than the first one posted (IMO)
