How is this different from what they have been doing for a while now? I guess they have made minor alterations to allow for an 80 series rolling chassis? The 4 door Cruiser bodies are things that they have been doing for a while now.
Aqualu tubs are great but a TON of work. There are absolutely no holes for anything. Every single thing needs to be set up and laid out by you. Cool for customizability but I would think that if they were going to make this a 'kit' sort of body, they might want to make provisions for wiring loom and steering column. A 'kit' style body would be cool since there are so many thousand dollar, beginning to rust 80 series trucks out there. What about the hardtop? Another few grand I am sure.
Also, there is, and has been for years, a stretched 40 series riding on an 80 (shortened a few inches) chassis. Lance at IPOR built his FZJ40 a few years ago. I have seen it personally and it is definitely cool.
