Diné Metalworks Excellent Adventure Trailer Build

Does anyone know anything about this trailer? I found one for sale that I thought may make a good adventure trailer project. Any thoughts or opinions appreciated!

That's what I was thinking too. It needs stripped down and The frame repainted, then add a floor and put the box back on. May be able to mount a roof top tent to the top of the existing box. My gear would definitely be secure locked inside.

needs longer leaf springs, they are meant for heavy items, ie compressors and light towers with gennies

Interesting. Never looked through one of those thoroughly, any way to shed some pounds without losing too much integrity?

Looks like I just bought it for $250!! Going to pick it up Thursday morning. According to the sellers quick measurements the box is: Width 53" length 91" height 40" that is the box. 56" inside the tires. 14" wheels, I didn't ask the lug hole pattern...

What longer leaf springs should I go with? Any other suggestions?

you could get some junk yard springs and then do an axle flip to give you room for some proper size wheels.

Pics please, we have a couple of these at work and I've often thought of making an expo/fishing trailer out of one.

Here it is, a gutted XA90S Atlas Copco 185 cfm compressor trailer!

The tounge is slightly bent on one side. I may be able to push it back out with a hydraulic jack, unless someone knows a better fix?

It also has a funky bolted on hitch. I think I'll cut and insert a receiver tube instead.

It has 5 lug 14" wheels. Hope to find some adapters to the 6 lug Toyota bolt pattern so I can run the same wheels & tire size as my 4runner.

that is a very common setup for commercial trailers so that you can level the machine with the truck. our 20 foot 12000 lb flat trailers have similar setups.

Starting on my build. Stripping it to the frame today and going from there. Any and all suggestions will be thoroughly appreciated. This will be my first adventure trailer build!
