Hi folks,
I had the Tacoma at the scales this weekend because I wanted to know how much it weighted since I've been in discussion with Scott Born at Deaver Springs for my new leaf springs. I was shocked at how heavy my truck was. It came in at 4818 +/- 22 lbs!.
Has anyone else had their Tacoma on the scales? If so what were the numbers?
Here are a few extra details:
It's a 1999 Toyota Tacoma, Extended Cab, V6, 4x4 with stock alloys and 31" MTR tires
My registration states 3380 lbs (1536 Kg actually)
I have the following "heavy" additions:
That's about it for day to day driving. I did have an extra 5 Gal of fuel and some extra tools when I had the truck weighed (approx 140 lbs total). So that leaves me at 4700 lbs assuming the upper value of 4840 lbs. Does this sound correct?
Cheers  ,

I have the following "heavy" additions:
- Front TJM T-17 bumper
- Dual batteries
- Warn M8000 with synthetic rope and fairlead
- Sliders (real heavy)
- Leer shell complete with roof rack and basket
- Recovery items (snatch block, 30' of chain, 3/4" D-shackles, Hi-Lift, Jack Mate, shovel, etc...)
- Rear class III hitch
- Various tools (enough for most repairs but by no means a complete set)
