Interesting!

For the rear slide out as referenced in the options page, you're talking about the flip down tent-style bed or a true slide out?

I'd like to see what the flatbed looks like and how it compares to xp camper's.

XP flat beds are nice, although about 10K, a little expensive.

We have started on fabrication of this unit. This layout allows for a more practical wet bath and rear dinette sleeping area. Its also capable of accepting a rear slide out for the bed.
Hope to have this finished by early October. We plan on bringing it to the Expo.

Quick dis-mount flatbed with tool free lock downs. Electric jacks insert into square sockets. Camper can then be lowered to within 6" of grounds. Once finished, jacks pull out of sockets and are stowed for travel. Camper is securely positioned on truck bed with four male locks-no wrenches or tools. A quick connect electrical fitting allow camper to be integrated to truck electrical charging system.
Flatbed can be fitted with tool free removed side boards. De-coupling truck from camper allows truck to be used for more than camping. Further, a pragmatic removal system allows camper to be used as a self contained base camp.

Weigh up time. We use Solidworks modeling software to draw and design our campers. Solidworks provides a pretty good estimate of weight once all the material densities are placed.
Our drawing shows our camper shell to weigh 646 pounds. Placing it on a recently calibrated scale shows the shell actually weighs in at 634 pounds. This includes a 1/4" thick floor of aluminum.

Don't you mean the frame weighs 634? I would think the shell would have the roof, sides, doors, windows, etc
