Garmin BaseCamp Organization

Since I'm on a Mac I have to use BaseCamp and it's generally workable. But the "My Collection" catalog is frustrating. My main issue is that you can't have objects of the same name in multiple lists, e.g. you can't reuse names for waypoints since they are really just pointers in the lists to the same object. So I'm considering reorganizing things and wonder what others have found works, mainly for keeping waypoints manageable.

I use a seperate file for all of my GPX files, totaly seperate from base camp.

I don't use it a lot and I don't have handy access at the moment, but I remember you can make separate "Folders" in the main side pane.

Perhaps the folders will allow the same names. I think a "Folder" contains all the data and you can make "Lists" within it. I'm not sure, might be something to point you in the direction of a solution.
