F450 4x4 adventure.

I usually don't post about what I am doing but here I thought I'd be cool to try.
Less then a year ago we bought an RV that I wanted. Slowly I've been making it ours (mine) and by slowly I mean slowly.
Photo is where and when we picked it up. Roughly 1500 miles from home. Wife and I flew in and drove it home in unreal cold weather.
Previous owner was an older gentleman who stored it in a heated garage for the time he had it and maintained it very very well and kept record of everything. So the rv was clean and ready to go.
So far we have added
2000w magnum inverter installed under the counter wired to run everything.
Battery isolator to charge the house battery when driving.
Rear airbags
New shocks and steering stabilizer.
A much nicer bathroom fan. Maxxair
Android big screen stereo.
Tinted front windows.
Front bumper upgrade
Upgraded thermometer

A few little things here and there inside.

Still have Big plans
Super single conversion
Lift
Possible wrap.
Upgrade the read bumper
Some kinda jack leveling system
Possible storage box and spare tire carrier on a swivel in the back because of the slide.

We have put over 8k miles on it this year and loved it. It's a 6.7L diesel 4x4 so I'd say it has some potential.

One of my favorite parts of this rig is the 4 doors we have 2 little boys and I love that they get an actual spot for the carseats. I feel that it's just safer for them this way.

I'll try to do my best and update this with past progress and pictures and also future projects.

Current state of the rv But feel that it won't be for to long.
I think I made a deal for coilovers for the front and I have couple things coming to lift the rest of it.
Still figuring out wheels and offset

Bumper is a full grill Move bumper with 2 inch grill tube upgrade. Comes in a kit. I welded it and smoothed it out primed and coated with raptor liner.

At one point I installed light on the sides and in the back to help out when parking or packing in the dark. I think I'll add some more later for now it will do.

And LED light bulbs in the headlight. Really wanted morimoto headlight but could not justify the cost. Led bulbs made a huge difference.

Electric steps work well but feel very spungy when stepped on. So I too them off and going to rebuild them.
There is a little brass bushing part number 116531 that's replaceable I hope this helps with it being more firm. Some of my bushings were worn all the way through.
Since the whole thing is off the rig and disassembled and has rust on it I stripped the rest of the pain off and started to prime it before doing an undercoat on it. Should look better and be protected from the elements.

Also the whole assembly was loose so I'll use locktight when I torque it back down this will probobly be the main reason why it was spungy.

I found little fold away legs that can be mounted under the last step that would support the assembly when extanted. Any one ever try this?

Also a test wheel showed up and I got a free tire from less shwab to help with test fitment.
Wheel will end up a spare tire wheel combo.

Rear lift blocks 1 here on one the way. I guess they sent me just one at 1st lol
Front Coilovers are paid for and hopefully shipped.
Track bar drop bracket is on its way
Things like driveshaft drops plates and sway bar drop plates I'll make myself.

So the lift in the rear is 90% done.
Just need to weld the shock mounts back on the axle. Stock they sit very low and with the lift shocks are about 3/4 inch to short. So I cut the brackets off and shortened them a bit so they sit about 1.5 inches higher there for the stock new shocks I installed earlier should still work fine.
Also installed new tinted windows on the door to replace the old school looking frosted window. And a screen door handle.

Stair case is all painted and new bushings and lights for it showed up. Will get assembled next week.

Time for an update
Staircase back in it's home and working so good. No more spungy feeling when stepping on it.
Wired in 2 led lights under there.

Lift is done.
Front sitting a bit high I think I need to drive it a bit and maybe make couple adjustments.
FOA coilovers I bought slightly used from a member on a facebook page I am on.
Few pictures missing like sway bar drop brackets and rear driveshaft drop shims.

Wheels on their way and wheel adapters still in the mail. Getting a bit angry about how long they are in the mail.

Anyone a truck driver who can recommend some aggressive 295/75r22.5 or low profile as they call them?

It's coming together I'll have to try winter camping pretty soon.

So many little things to do here.
Ordered hellwig 7223 rear sway bar it's 1.5 inches compared to 1inch stock.

Go rino drop steps for the kids we have 2 for the front and before the lift I thought of removing them but now I need 2 more lol

Did some fender cutting and trimming. This is not a fun process it's a bit nerve wrecking to cut the truck.

Bumper getting modified to help with the lines of the fender and to give the tire a bit more room.

Also ordered a torque multiplier for the huge lug nuts.

Rear fenders went from 33 inches opening to 41.
It's hard to find fender flares for this size. So I ordered rubber universal flares I hope they will look good .

I think I made a decision with what tires I am getting. Hercules HDO I want good overall traction in any weather and I don't really want to hear the tires. Last pic is of stock over the new size.
