3/8 synth line tube thimble - which hook is compatible

Bought some nice masterpull 3/8" synthetic line with the tube style thimble for my 8274.

Problem I ran into when I got home was both my winch hooks were too small for the width of the tube thimble.

There is one hook I can see that would fit but there should be more choices out there.

Either that or I use a connecting link. Haven't used them before.

Any help would be appreciated.

Since the line is already made up, your choices are either a shackle or hook with a connecting link. (or the half link hook you have pictured.)

I dont think there are any clevis style hooks, which is what I assume you were trying to put back on, that will fit over a tube thimble and not be larger than needed.

Connector links are great, they can be used over and over again without the parts wearing out. I would suggest a connector link hook, we use them on every single staff vehicles winch rope (the second picture you have). They allow for the most movement and because of the connector link can be moved in more ways then a regular hook making hooking up to a recovery point a breeze.
