2000 Suburban K1500 budget low lift with 37"s

OK, last Jeep post for a while, I promise, unless I get stuck again and need the Sub to pull it out.

2" eBay spacers are in, and 9.5-16 tires are mounted and on. So I got 2 that at 33.7" tall and 2 that are 33.25" tall, hopefully it won't cause too many issues with the drivetrain.

Jeep Liberty forum moderators are flipping out right about now because apparently what I just did can not be done, lol.

I like how you think. As a matter of fact I do have a 12k HF winch and two universal channels laying around as well as this JK bumper which would perfectly fit an ATV winch inside. It's on the list of things to do with the farm tractor Jeep.

I also got the Liberty stuck in less than a minute after starting it's maiden voyage on the tractor tires and had to fire up the Suburban to pull it out.

Those tractor tires are the most ridiculously cool thing I have seen on the internet all day. Don't apologize for posting more pics of the Jeep in your thread. Any plans on trying to box in the back of the cab? It has gotta be cold up there in sunny Maine.

I am sure the Jeepsters lose their minds at the thought of you rescuing a Jeep with a Suburban.

Thats a great question, in my case it was some sheer dumb luck. I started looking at UTV tires, they were too expensive, then somehow ended up looking at tractor tires. So tractor tires have two numbers and a dash "-" in my case 9.5-16. First number 9.5 is the tire width in inches: 9.5" wide. dash means its a radial tire. Second 16 number is the diameter of the rim it fits so mine in for a 16" rim.

The rest of the pertinent information that we care about in for our trucks is the overall diameter and rim width. That you just have to pull up a tire manufacturer and google it.

I only see 16" or 20" rim tires. Your best bet would be 9.5-20 tire which would sit at around 36.5" tall.

Yes I will probably cut up the rest of the roof and back hatch and weld it up to the cab for a back. Liberty doesn't have a B pillar along the roof, it's just 18ga sheet metal. I think that I need to put a roll bar in just in case before I weld up the cab. Still figuring that one out right now. Surprisingly the heat works very well in the Liberty and even when it's below freezing or snowing so I'm not too worried about the temperature.

Those Jeepsters lost their mind when I cut the roof off, pulling it out with the Sub daily seems to calm them down, lol.

I am very close to being done with this Liberty pickup and already planning my next build: 6x6 Liberty pickup, kinda like a baby Dodge T-Rex. I am afraid to even mention this concept on the Liberty forum because if it's not a 6x6 Wrangler and no-one has done it it's not cool or acceptable.

Can't wait to finish this Liberty UTV in the next week or two.

Jeep owners are weird and I can so see why.

Finally driving the Jeep without getting stuck and getting pulled out by my Suburban.

My pickup is freaken awesome, does what I need it to, easy to work on, even fun in a yard tractor kinda a way, but parts are ridiculously expensive even the made in China eBay stuff.

So I just got my Jeep #2, its a parts Jeep for my parts Jeep.

Hopefully it will be stripped and tossed quicker than it took me to take apart the parts Avalanche.

Just about every badge has been removed from my Suburban. I both like the clean look of painted sheet metal as well as the mystery and the guessing game of exactly what I am driving. I was prepping my Jeep Liberty body panels for paint and pulled the trail rated badge off.

Just to confuse people even more I am looking for a good spot to stick the well deserved Jeep "Trail Rated" badge on my Suburban.
