How does it hold up in the wind/rain?

This would be for just me and maybe one buddy on fishing trips. My wife and girls are already spoiled with the trailer and cabover camper.

It's basically a regular ground tent with sleeve off on side that secures around the back end of a SUV. You can sleep in your car while still being connected to the tent. I was wondering if it would fit around a full size truck with a shell. They have some larger SUVs.

Anyone ever use one of those SUV tents on a full size with a shell? Just picked up a shell for my truck and might be able to get used SUV tent for next to nothing. Curious if the sleeve will open big enough for my 2001 Duramax. Any info on these things would be appreciated. Thanks

$400 seem like a fair price to you guys? I like the idea of the 88 simply bolting in as opposed to making extra mods for the Disco one.

Nice find I recently picked up an s-10 with utility body too($450 for the whole truck). Just wish mine was fiberglass. I won't be starting on mine until I finish the wife's bathroom remodel she's been wanting. Ill be following you to see how it turns out.

Just picked up this from CL. $450 for the whole truck. Hopefully I can free up some time soon to start building. Plan to tow it behind my RR Classic.
